Hey Heather! yes - quite a spell of warm weather here! I talked to someone down in the Carolinas and they said it is warmer here than down there!
I wanted to let you know I talked with the lady I work with who has rosacea. She said the dermatologist started her out with a cream, but it just did not work for her. She now takes tetracycline (an antibiotic) once a day and she says that seems to keep it under control.

Don't know why that unhappy face is on the blog thingy....

Diane..thanks. I actually have been on 2 different oral anitbiotics and they did help. However. My derm is not comfortable giving me anything orally now that I am on all the other stuff...back then I was not on anything but 1 med. Now I am on many. ..and hate it.

I got a referral paper from my Rheum. today in the mail. She wants me to see another neurologist. She sent me the paper for me to look her up and make sure I could go to her. She is on my list of doctors I can go to so I guess I will be seeing her..at least for a consult. I sure hope this is not going to end up with each specialty thinking it is the others problem again.

I do know that the Lord is in control of my life...and very glad that He is.

so the trials they keep a' comin'......yesterday Danny wakes up with a bulge in his right abdomen. I said what the heck? He said maybe I pulled a muscle (ummm wishful thinking) I said you need to see a doctor. So he went in and it is a hernia ( he had 3 or 4 repaired back in Jan. 2008 with mesh). This looks to be where the mesh is not...so he is seeing a surgeon in a hour..I am meeting him there. I really think he needs to go see the one who did all the other ones with all his past surgery history and issues...but he did not want to go to clear to Indy. men. I know he is thinking of me but he would not be in that long..a couple days I think the last time...unless there were complications...and then I WOULD want him in Indy. So prayers are welcome and appreciated. He is supposed to be meeting with the shoulder surgeon on Mon. That will have to wait for a while now. He only has 2 weeks sick leave now and will have to borrow for this surgery already. But the Lord knows all this and He is in control and will take care of us. I have certainly learned with my own health issues that doctors sure don't know anything and cannot always help and know what to do for you....God is the only one I can trust. I know that no matter what I go through here...it is nothing compared to what He has waiting for me later!!

Hi Heather

I do not know why the sad face is showing either. I will have to ask my webmaster to check this out as I just went into the admin and could not see it.

I hope all is going to be ok with your hubby.

You both are on my prayer list.

Love

I was able to remove the smiley by changing to the folder. The weird thing is that the smiley(sad) was not showing.
Oh well, in a few days I will try and change it back to the original icon.

First..we went to the ortho surgeon about Dannys shoulder...he said that the muscles have detached from his shoulder from the bicep and on the back of his shoulder. They have shrunk and also the rotator cuff is not able to be repaired. The only options are PT to strengthen what muscles are still attached to the shoulder and for pain only...a reverse shoulder replacement. Of course the PT comes first. He is supposed to start that tomorrow however..............................

the OTHER surgeon (hernia) office called to schedule that surgery. That is the 28th of this month. I am assuming he will not be able to do much with that side ..even shoulder exercises...for a few weeks after that due to pulling or exerting..they are on the same side of the body. So he may as well put off the PT til he is healed from the hernia surgery..in my opinion. I left a message with the PT....will see what he says in the morning.

I think that is all the new news...oh it is cold here..cold and wet. Wet is good..we need it soooo bad.

Poor Danny! Sorry to hear about the shoulder. How did that happen? Didn't it hurt?
Sounds like you will be a busy nurse for a while, Heather!

Thanks Diane and Rise. Today is a gorgeous day. Gonna go out and see what I can shoot (camera of course) while it is decent and pretty. Some trees are still pretty....

Dannys hernia bulge is bruised now. Don't know why..unless it is from him holding it while sneezing or coughing and such. weird. Wed he goes to see his gastro for a checkup..not at all to do with the hernia but i hope she checks it and if needed does an ultrasound to make sure nothing else is going on.....I figured they would have done that before doing a surgery...but no one has.
