I am a kidney transplant patient, presently on both Prograf and Zortress (also low dose prednisone). I see multiple entries from folks who say they were taking off Prograf once they started Zortress (Everolimus). I was initially on Cellcept with Prograf post transplant and I believe at week 2 after surgery, they stopped my Cellcept and started the Everolimus instead because they felt it would lessen my dose of Prograf, decrease the chance of further cyst development in my native kidneys (I have PKD), and that it would reduce the liklihood of scare tissue development in my grafted kidney. Does anyone know if I should not be on these two drugs simultaneously?}
