In regards to my post above:...... " NO more than what we see on TV these days. Now, that's a horse of a different color, by golly. <chuckle> "

A quote heard back in the '50s:
"I'm afraid to send my kids to the
movies any more. Ever since they
let Clark Gable get by with saying
DAMN in 'GONE WITH THE WIND',
it seems every new movie has
either HELL or DAMN in it."

Free Health Care at your nearest airport....

In case you're interested.

If you can't afford a doctor, go to an airport - you'll get a free x-ray and
a breast exam, and; if you mention Al Qaeda, you'll get a free colonoscopy.

It's a mystery for the ages: Why are some people happy and others less so? And if we knew the secrets of happy people, could we practice them and become happier ourselves?

The way I figger it, a person might as well be happy. Too many things that people get excited about are things that they have no control over anyway, so why get bent out of shape about them? It also makes people know that you are much more serious when you do get excited about something that happens.

The Haircut

One day a florist went to a barber for
a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill,
and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money
from you, I'm doing community service this week.'

The florist was pleased and left the shop. When
the barber went to open his shop the next morning,
there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses
waiting for him at his door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and
when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again
replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm
doing community service this week.' The cop was
happy and left the shop. The next morning when
the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank
you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at
his door.

Then a Congressman came in for a haircut,
and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again
replied, 'I can not accept money from you. I'm
doing community service this week.' The Congressman
Was very happy and left the shop. The next morning,
when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen
Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut.

And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental
difference between the citizens of our country
and the politicians who run it.

Complete vs Finished

No English dictionary has been able to explain the difference between the two words COMPLETE and FINISHED, in a way that's easy to understand.
Some people say there is no difference between COMPLETE & FINISHED. I beg to differ because, there is :

When you marry the right woman, you are "COMPLETE".

And when you marry the wrong one, you are "FINISHED"!

And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are "COMPLETELY FINISHED" !

Allan, a mechanic, was removing a cylinder head from a Harley-Davidson motorbike, when he spotted a world-famous heart surgeon in his garage. The heart surgeon was waiting for the service manager to come and take a look at his bike.

Allan shouted across the garage, 'Hey Doc can I ask you a question?' The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to Allan. Allan straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, 'So Doc, look at this engine. I also can open hearts, take valves out, fix'em, put in new parts and when I finish this will work just like a new one. So how come I work for a pittance and you get the really big money, when you and I are doing basically the same work?'

The surgeon paused, smiled and leaned over and whispered in Allan's ear, 'Try doing it with the engine running.'
