hI. I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL LAST WEEK (3RD TIME SINCE CHRISTMAS) AND I WAS CHANNEL SURFING AND RAN ACROSS CM VIDEOS. IT WAS REBA ON A PONY WITH BROOKS AND DUNN SINGING COWGIRLS DON'T CRY. WELL I WAS BAWLING LIKE A 5 YR. OLD. CM IS VERY DANGEROUS. A NURSE WALKS IN, FLIPS ON THE LIGHT AND ASKS ME WHATS WRONG? SOON THERE ARE 2 CHIPPER NURSES HANGING OUT, CHATTING, THERE'S ONE IN THE HALL TELLING ANOTHER ONE 'SHE HAS END STAGE COPD'....
THE NEXT DAY THE DOCTOR PRESCRIBES ATIVAN 3 X A DAY AND WANTS MY ZOLOFT UPED TO 100 M. HE'S CONVINCED I'M DEPRESSED. I TOLD HIM I'M NOT DEPRESSED, I'M A GIRL......SOMETIMES WE JUST CRY!!!
THE LESSON IS DON'T WATCH CM VIDEOS IN THE HOSPITAL!PHOTO

Hi Dee

I love your blog title! I think you need to have a talk with your doctor.
Ativan does suppress breathing. Did your respiratory doctor tell you to take the ativan? Did you call your tx team and tell them about this?

Some nurses need to be told never to talk in front of the patient. We are all human and make mistakes.

I love your picture!

Dee:

I am so sorry that you overheard those nurses talking about you, and I am really sorry that your doctor thought that you were depressed. Just so you know - I cry watching Hallmark commercials. I agree - sometimes we women just need a good cleansing cry. Nurses definitely should not talk about any patient when others can hear. I remember once when I was in the doctors office one time when I was really having a hard time breathing. I overheard one doc say something like - "I thought she'd be dead by now." I am pretty sure they weren't talking about me, but I will never know. That's not a very good thing to hear when you don't know what's wrong with you and you are gasping for air. Sometimes I wonder why they call them professionals?!?!

You hang in there! I love the title of your blog too!!

God Bless!

I know what you mean about some of the CW songs. There was a song about two children with CF and I just lost it one day when I was driving.

Risa, Tammy Cockran sings that song. It is a true story about her two little brothers who had CF....I was exchanging emails with her for quite some time, and when my computer crashed, I lost her address. She is a lovely sweet young lady, who loved her little brothers so much.
