Dear Nic,
I am so sorry to hear of your unexpected loss. It has always been difficult to me to deal with the death of a pet as each one becomes like family. I remember how difficult it was to put to sleep one of my parents' cats because of how ill she had become so suddenly and without warning, so my heart really goes out to you. May you find some peace and comfort in remembering the memories you both made together. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Many hugs.

I am so sorry about the loss of you dog. My goodness I do not minimize your pain at all. A pet is a special member of our families. Yes Ok I get that they are not people but we love them so much! It is ok to be sad, cry and miss them, It is a loss, thank you for feeling comfortable enough to think to share your sadness with us. I hope you feel better soon. Wishing you the best.

That is the reason why my wife and I no longer have dogs. We had two dogs--a lab and a shepard. the lab lived to be about ten, and he had a stroke. The shepard lived to be fourteen, even though he had pravo as a pup. It was so heart breaking to lose both of them that we could never bring ourselves to get any more pets. I feel for your loss.
There are not too many things in life worth working my butt off for, but my health is one of them

May I suggest a web site for all who have lost a pet. It is a beautiful letter about loosing a pet and how we will meet again. This is a wonderful site and a caring article. I hope it will help to comfort you Nicola as you go through this period in your life. I can relate to your pain having lost many pets over the years. They love unconditionally and leave a big hole in our lives when they leave. May the memories of better days spent together help you my prayers are with you.
