Several months ago, we all discussed my friend Kenny Woychesin receiving a totally artificial Syn-Cardia heart.
8:35pm Tues night and I just this moment rec'd this message from his Mom Sandy:
Please keep Kenny in prayer tonight as he has received a call that they have a heart for him. He is on his way to Houston, St. Lukes Hospital for his transplant. Praying that the match is perfect and that this will be a successful surgery. Please pray for the doctors, to guide their hands, keep they minds open to use their knowledge and please to keep Kenny strong to go thru the surgery.
Please flood Heaven with prayers for this young man, Thank you and God Bless

This prayer request was a bit premature. After arriving at the hospital yesterday, Kenny and hiis family discovered the donor heart was NOT suitable for transplant.
Please continue your prayers for all concerned and by the Grace of God, Kenny will receive a donor heart in the very near future,

Praying for Kenny now that he'll be strengthened in the meantime & receive the right heart soon in God's will.
| Went on heart tx. list---11-1-11 @ Baylor Med. Ctr., Dallas. Waiting for heart tx. or LVAD if LVAD is needed 1st.----implanted heart medicine catheter. |

As for Kenny, he is still home with his artificial heart awaiting a human heart donor.

I am sorry to hear that Kenny has still not received a new heart. I hope he may not have to wait much longer. I will keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers. May he find continual sources of strength and hope to help him get through this difficult waiting time. Best of wishes.

It's actually not known how long this artificial heart will prolong Kenny's life but we all are hoping and praying he receives his donor heart very soon.
At this very time, his life depends on that portable battery pack hooked to his artificial heart
P.S. I just this moment spoke with Kenny's Mom Sandy on the phone and she says he is still at home anxiously awaiting that important phone call from the hospital,
