One of our very close friends here in Magnolia, Ray Moon, is slowly dying due to cancer. His wife Bonnie, passed away 6 months ago due to Pneumonia complications. They had been married 38yrs. He now lives alone, so my sweetie Darlene washes his laundry 2 times per month, just out of the goodness of her heart. Ray is a decorated, Disabled retired US Marine from the Vietnam era. We have been watching his health slowly going downward. We all, Darlene, Gene, Kathy and myself, always invite him to join us at our table at the Magnolia Diner, when he comes in with the assistance of his crutches. I post this under the "Inspiration" section, in hopes that this will inspire you to look around and help one of your neighbors in need. This will truly warm you heart to reach out and touch someone with your kindness. Ol' Bob

Bob: I am so sorry to hear about your friend's wife passing and his battle with cancer. I am sure it is hard to watch your close friends struggle so much. What a blessing that you and Darlene watch out for him and help him with simple things. Sometimes it's those simple things that mean so much. You and Darlene both inspire all of us to be better people and to always remember that love for our fellow man is one of God's greatest commandments! God Bless!
