I found a way to help with my energy health. I started taking Dance lessons 3 weeks ago. Learn latin, ballroom and swing. boy it more of a work out then I thought it would be. But after each lesson I feel a great burst of energy. I am not a young chick anymore but wow i feel like I am again.

WOW! That is wonderful Shelia that you can feel young again. I am sure you look radiant as well. I love dancing Swing and latin. Belly dancing is my favorite workout as far as dance.

Keep us posted.

Sheila:

Dancing is one of my favorite things to do. I don't know ballroom dancing, but I took ballet and jazz from 13 through college. Then I was into aerobics big time and then kick boxing. Before I was sick I had a ballet workout video that I did once a week to cross train from working with weights and doing other cardio videos. Exercise was my "me" time. I would get up every morning at 5:30am and spend an hour all by myself - I would "bust a move!" Sammy and I used to dance all the time too before I got sick, so that's why you will see me type all the time that once I get my new lungs one of the first things I will do is dance with my son!!!

Keep dancing it will definitely keep you young at heart and young on the outside!!!

God Bless!

wow I am envious Sheila! I love dancing too, but since I got sick with kidney failure and since transplant, my energy is not the same plus ageing must be in the works, lol.
I would love to take up dance lessons but I don't have dancing partner.
And if I do it now, I might collapse., I think my strength is not back to normal .
I think I would love to learn Latin dance, ballroom is great but it might be too much for me,lol. My mom during her good years, learned ballroom dancing, so is my brother and wife. I never had the time for that.
I think i should just get some videos to follow so I can learn myself, lol.
I even tried to teach myself belly dancing, but boy of boy that is hard.
I lived in Dubai in the Middle East for some years and I loved watching belly dancing, the dancers are so graceful and artistic. So I learned how to dance the Middle Eastern way,but not the professional way, just the goofy way, lol.
Dancing is really a fun exercise.................I wish I can find a way to do it.
Have fun, dancing away....................

Thank you Risa but I am far from radiant and right now not so graceful, but getting better. Don't think I have the hip movement anymore for Belly dancing. I did her it the best dancing for exercise and weight loss. boy can I loss about 15 pounds since transplant.

Karen I will pray that you get your Lungs very soon for you and Sammy can dance the night away.
