I like to call how I prepare food as mixes because I tend to create my own instead of following recipes.

Have you ever heard of Oatmeal pudding? LOL

I bring a medium size pot to boil, add my gluten free oatmeal

When it is ready and sort of warm, I add in walnuts, raisins, chia seeds, cashews, pine nuts, hemp seeds, hemp protein powder and plums and some Lo han (a natural sweetener no sugar)

I eat this when it is chilled.

This recipe sort of reminds me of rice pudding with a powerful punch of healthier ingredients.

My husband said it reminds him of a protein bar without the solid structure.

I would love to find out how to make this into a protein bar. I am missing a few ingredients.

Anyone with any ideas on how to step this recipe up for me.

Next time, I will add in cinnamon instead of Lo Han.

Hi Lou Lou

That is what I have done in the past add flour although don't you think that will be too many carbs with the oatmeal. Perhaps half oatmeal and half flour? Definitely add in an egg.

I just want to know how those companies get their bars to be crispy.

What we are doing will come out in cake consistency.

Rise',

I see you remembered to add the cinnamon. :-)

Here are some sites you can find protein bar recipes. I thought you might be able to adapt your recipe with the basics in these recipes:

I don't know if you would be into this, but I came across this gluten-free recipe for sweet potato pie from Webmd:

Enjoy.
