I have to put in a good word for oats. My father was able to bring down his own cholesterol by eating oat cereal with lots of soluble fiber on a regular basis. I often eat oatmeal. I have always shared a love of nuts with my father too which I did not realize when so young would be such a good thing to share. My trouble is getting my high density lipoprotein higher while my LDL is quite low. I think exercise can help with the HDL, but I cannot exercise too much because I am trying to gain weight as well, but I have to do enough not to get weak. Best of wishes to all.

Abbott
Welcome! If you are a transplant recipient, be careful with green tea. It has been known to cause big problems.
