Tonight I was just in the mood to use my Cuisinart machine to create a pate' style dish. My ingredients for this fruity dish consisted of 1 can of coconut milk chick peas dried fruits (apple, raisins, two apricots). 3 cans of sardines from Wild Planet nori strips walnuts chia seeds hemp seeds pumpkin seeds sunflower seeds two whole apples 1 sweet potato MCT oil from NOW foods. I blended all ingredients for a few minutes and out came a deliciously semi sweet pate'. I thought to myself, "why not combine them for a tasty and nutritious snack." You can add this as a spread to Kamut bread (I am not a fan of wheat bread) or add some more coconut milk to the pate' and turn this into a soup. You can also add this mixture to fruit, celery or red pepper. After one hour or consuming this mixture, I have lots of energy and my stomach feels very healthy (no bloating etc). I guess I survived. Created by the Hostess herself. For those of you who have never watched the daytime show "The Dr. Oz show" you are in for a real treat and education. Take out your pen and paper and take notes.

Sorry dear, I would not be able to eat this concoction. I would use the chick peas for a salad, eat the dried fruit, nuts and seeds together and probably cut up and bake the apples with the sweet potatoes. I don't like sardines and I am not too darn sure about nori. I know that sardines are a little salty and I have really been watching that lately. I think I might have to find something to replace the sardines and nori and then I might have a winner. I do watch Dr. Oz on occasion and a person can learn a lot by watching the show.

Ok Cisco, I will not send a batch to you. The idea is we can add a bunch of healthy ingredients and create a pate' for a quick pick me up snack when we need long lasting energy. For another idea, I am sure one can add in protein powder with fruits, nuts and seeds and create a nut butter type of recipe.

I am sure that if a person wanted to, he or she could play with that recipe just like any other recipe. I do that quite a bit, myself.
