I see you have a cattleya, a phalaenopsis and an oncidium. (Or plants in those families of orchids) They look like nice, healthy plants.

Thank You!!!! I am pretty sure the middle one is going to bloom in orange and yellow flower and the one on the left is the one that blooms in all grouped together. That one is going to be kind of purply colored....if I can keep these guys happy!!!!

My (favorite) Uncle in Miami has a green thumb, he can even grow cotton here, LOL. I'll be bragging to him like crazy when these bloom!!!

Thanks for asking!

Well, I have to admit we have been struggling. Things took a tune sideways when the dopey lawn guy apparently took his blower and completely blew all three of them out of their pots one day while blowing the grass clipping off the porch of my apartment. I found them all laying in the grass looking quite sad. I was beyond ticked off I must admit.

The nursery had given me a care sheet but I was so frantic I couldnt find it! I ran across the street to Home Depot and bought a bag of Orchid bark and potting soil and 3 heavier pots and re-potted them.

The guy on the far right seems to have recovered the best. He doesn't seem to have any lingering damage.

My dude on the left is doing really well now and I am actually thing he might need to even be split into 2 pots? The pot looks like there are 2 different plants living together. But I don't know if I should bother him again. He has quite a bit of new growth in the way of new leaves and roots. His old roots and leaves don't looks so swift but his new stuff looks pretty good I think.

The little girl in the middle is my challenge. She keeps blooming!!! But she looks absolutely horrid. Finally, this week she popped out a pretty new leaf, and maybe a new root or two, but she doesn't look good to see her.

I will take some pictures and post them, maybe you will have time to give me some tips? I am really having trouble getting the sunlight right. I am using a pencil in the pot to check the water to see if they need it, but the light part is tough. One end of the porch they get too much, the other they don't seem to get enough.

Thanks again for asking. LOL, you got a looooong answer :-)

Do not use potting soil. They should be in bark. See if you can get some throw and grow type fertilizer. It lasts about a year. It is the easiest to use. Now then, the orchid on the left needs more light than the other two. If you can, if you will put these in a place where they get dappled light, with the cattleya getting the most light, that problem will be solved, too.
