While there is no husband in the picture, I getting to that age that baby fever is kicking in. So, I think to think about things before their is a decision that needs to be made and with that said, here are my questions.

(1) Has anyone had any issues with harvesting eggs post liver transplant?

(2) Also, has anyone had any issues with getting approved for adoption?

I am not a liver transplant, but I am in the same boat more or less (kidney recip w/husband). I've got baby fever from hell.

I am a two time kidney recipient and have an appointment on August 9th to go speak to my TX center about pregnancy. Their words when we asked were "Oh yeah, we have patients have babies all of the time." Yikes! I always thought I couldn't so, this scares me a little. Gotta wrap my head around that one.

On Adoption: I have spoken to one adoption agency in Tucker, GA that said transplant will not be a barrier as far as they go.

I have not thought about harvesting eggs because I do not think there is anyway we can afford the up front costs and the cost of a surrogate.
