I have been pretty careful about my health as many of you know. I have been talking with a health coach recently, and she has suggested that I might want to get in touch with a dietician if I have any questions which would help me reach goals that I have set for myself. I currently weigh 185 pounds. I am five feet eleven inches tall. Ideally, my weight should be about ten pounds lighter. What I am attempting to do is find out if, in fact 175 pounds is my ideal body weight. I have set the goal of losing a couple of pounds in the next month. I honestly do have some questions for a dietician to answer for me. Many of my questions involve timing of meals and snacks and the balance of exercise and diet which is proper for me. Has anyone else sat down with a dietician to ask these kinds of questions? Thanks in advance.

Yup... My guess is your going to know as much as a general diatician you'll get through your Dr. or hospital, I know I did and the dietician acknowledged that by telling me so. You need to idealy sit down with a sports nutritionist. You and I need to talk... I'm In the early phases of a project im putting together dealing with nutrition and exercise for transplant patients, not just basic info like is currently available but more detailed info for athletes. My Tx center is on board to help and I'm just starting to search out other medical partners who specialize in nutrition, strength & conditioning, etc. |

I am working on the weight loss. I have been walking and jogging three and a half or four miles every day for over a week and my weight has responded. I am still lifting four days a week and doing yoga once a week.

Rough one today. I went to the gym and did over 4 miles on the treadmill. I was thinking that I would be able to find someone to play Frisbee this afternoon, but I was mistaken. Instead, I took a three mile walk with a buddy this afternoon. Just hope that I don't have a problem sleeping this evening.
