The family is getting together today for a little picnic. Yes, we are thankful for our military boys who gave their lives to keep us free. There were many in the families who were in the military. Many uncles, both of our fathers. We went to the cemetery yesterday to pay respect and avoid the crowd. Today, we are getting together to break bread and remember. Some of remembering takes the form of meals we enjoyed while they were still alive and here with us. I am making barbequed chicken on the grill, my sister is making potato salad, my wife is making a blueberry cole slaw (first time side), pickled cukes and onions and we will have some healthy chips (Terra) If that is not enough. There is watermelon for dessert.

Cisco,

I don't know your feelings about this but it seems as though many more folks are celebrating Memorial Day this year than all the years in the past. This makes me very happy, though. Our folks in the Armed Forces should be remembered daily, as far as I am concerned.
