I want to introduce our new members, our beloved Donor Mom Janet. She has been a member of Transplantbuddies quite a few years.

This family group photo was made back in 1994 just prior to her beloved son Joe's drowning whilst attempting to save the lives of close friends,

Donor Mom and son Joe

Joe can be seen standing beside his Mom in this photo. Even after his death he continues to touch the hearts of so many through his gift of life.

Dedicated to you, young Joe and your very loving compassionate family, my dear friend Janet.

Love ya'

Dear Bob, Risa,

I don't know where I would be if not for TransplantBuddies.

I've been neglecting Y'all more from trying to keep up with Jeremy's son, Gabe, than from the holidays. He is with me a lot. He keeps me running, and it takes a couple of days/ 3 to get back right, after chasing a four year old down.

I may get to come home once a week, and get to welcome a new member, read one of the new threads, I've had to stop halfway through a post because I see a streak of lightning go through waving my remote control at me.

I got him a small pool last summer and spread an old comforter on the porch, slung the pool, water,Gabe's water toys, and him in the pool. As I sat down on the swing, I realize the thing he just dropped into the pool was my CELL PHONE!!! I jumped in the 4'' side and grabbed my phone, took it apart, dried it and it still works. For a long few minutes... way past counting to 10, I thought I would blow a gasket!!!

Logan was here too on Christmas Eve. We took pictures, and it was so fun. With school, she is in gymnastics, and a dance class. that was the only time she has been here in a long time.

I'm going to start a blog of the good things.I thought about all I've posted in memory of Jeremy is sad. The rest of my life has always been sooo blessed. I hope I've mastered the art of resizing photos and want everyone to see them too. As soon as Gabe goes home, I'm going to make time for me to do it.

I love that photo of Janet and Family. I tried to keep up with her on facebook and here. She is always so busy and she has wonderful pictures and the stories behind them. Liz and I have the same birthday so we have been known to cut up on facebook, when I had time to get on the computer.

Maybe, poke us every once in awhile.Haha. When I saw "new" on the donor topic, I came straight to it. I usually start at the top read my way down the topics.

I hope all my Buddies had great fun for the holidays.I hope they have their snow shoes on too! It is even freezing in the south!!! I'll be back...

Love, Kate

Hi Kate,

Nice to see you posting. I know how little Gabe keeps you busy. You must be in great shape chasing after him. You have a great idea about starting a blog about the good things, but remember we are here to support, and for you to vent anytime you need to.

Happy New Year!

Hugs,
Meagan :-)
