Has anyone else had breathing problems and chest pain as a result of being on the above meds?I had to go back into hospital as I was having big problems ,and the hospital thought it might be as a result of being on this drug, and my reaction to it.Now they have taken me off tacrolimus/prograf and put me on neoral/ciclosporin.I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS FACED THE SAME PROBLEMS,AND IF SO,HOW LONG IT TOOK TO RECOVER FROM THE BREATHLESSNESS AND CHEST PAINS. |

Hi Rod I believe a friend of mine had this problem many years ago. I believe after reducing her dosage she was fine. I know someone who had this problem with Rapamune. You are still having difficulty breathing? The only thing that I strongly believe could help you is what helped me. energy medicine. Read this and if you have any questions, let me know. I have been on Prograf since my transplant and have not experienced the symptoms you mentioned although I am sorry that you are. I hope you may fare much better with the other medication. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Best of wishes.

I too have been on Prograf since my transplant. I've never experienced any of those problems. Now my insurance company wants me to change to generic tacrolimus, but my transplant doctors say, "why take the chance"! I have to agree with them, I mean, they have been "dead right" on everything since my transplant.

Hello Bernie, I agree with you on this. Why mess with success?

Agreed. I have had the same problem with insurance companies, but I have made my doctors call them regarding this. It is best to stay with Prograf.
