Just curious After taking your prograf, Rapamune ,Cyclosporine and other anti-rejection medications do you feel your side effects appear within one hour of administration or throughout the day? Sometimes I feel a bit tired after taking Cellcept but then it subsides after eating a healthy meal.

I notice the effect of tremor in my hands caused by Prograf more often in the evening or in the morning. It does not seem to bother me so much throughout the day unless I am stressed about something and that can bring out the tremor any time of the day. The tremor though is not really that bad overall.

Yes I do feel side effects about an hour after taking my meds.. in fact, I took my AM pills very late one AM, so I had to adjust the PM dose, I actually awoke with the typical symptoms after falling asleep.. talk about clockwork side effects!! My tremors are getting a tad better, but mainly most annoying when trying to perform fine motor skills, ie: plucking eyebrows, makeup application, never mind threading a needle.. and never ever eat soup in public.. ;) |

Thank you Ed! Now that I think about it, I tend to have anxious thoughts when my serum levels goes up.

This medication regime is by far one of the most complex. I suppose journaling symptoms could shed some light on what levels do to ones symptoms..

Rise After taking morning meds with food, I often feel tired about an hour and a half later. For a long time I didn't realize it was the drugs until my doctor mentioned it. It's the Myfortic or tac. I used to just lay down for a while. But it seems to be getting better, I have been in training to walk a half marathon in 3 weeks so maybe that is helping......I will know after the race..... Good for you Starla training for a marathon. We must see some pictures. Enjoy! I have found that when I watch my carbs during my medications time, the tired feeling does not seem so bad. Some do take their medications on an empty stomach. Perhaps pay attention to adding a balanced meal a few hours before taking your drugs and a good balanced meal after one hour of taking your meds. Just suggesting.
