As most of you know, I really do like working out at the gym. You may also know that I try my best to keep hurting for any length of time after a workout. Sometimes, though, it is unavoidable. Here is my latest leg workout. I did this routine on Friday. I was really sore on Saturday and Sunday. It finally let up this morning. I took the day off from exercise yesterday. Anyway, here it is:

Lunges 3 sets of 20-25 steps @ 15#
Bands (L-R) 2 sets of 45 steps (black bands)
Bands (F-B) 2 sets of 30 steps (on tiptoe w/legs apart)
T-Bar Squats 3 sets of 12 reps @80# (plus bar)
Reverse Lunges 3 sets of 12 reps
1 Legged Squats 3 sets of 12 reps
Calf Raises 3 sets of 12 reps
Decline Situps 3 sets of 25 reps

The black bands are the ones with the most resistance of all of the bands. The forward and backward bands are kind of a funny motion. If you don't believe it, get on your tiptoes with legs apart. My trainer calls this pee-pants exercise. I asked him if he couldn't come up with a more manly name for it, but he couldn't. It is the movement you see kids make when they are young and have wet their pants. LOL!! Those band exercises are killers!! Also, if you will note, all but two of these exercises were performed WITHOUT WEIGHTS!!

Actually, I was very sore Saturday, but Sunday, I felt better. The same day, I ran and walked five miles. And yes, my butt was sore. I did the same routine the other day without the treadmill activity and I was just fine. BTW, good to see you!! How is the work doing?

Ah nice nice, sometimes after my lunges day i cant sit or even lay in my soft bed for 3 days, i mean i can but its like someone is stabbing my butt hehe

Work is going pretty good Cisco thanks for asking! It was a great idea that I went back and didnt sit around the house anymore because I was starting to get REALLY depressed, now keeping busy making me feel more and more normal. Plus Im lucky to have such coworkers and bosses that understand that im not going through a small change in my life and they're all being really considerate.... then again its the holidays and everyone is in a good mood lol we'll see how it is going to be when holidays are over and we are closing the year end statements and everyone is freaking out hehehe

Well, I am adding to my routine now. The only part I was not working enough before was my hamstrings. I am going to correct that now, doing hamstring/balls. I like leg workouts, but I know now where I have to slow down or stop to keep from hurting for too long. Hope you have a nice new year and that you find folks equally receptive after the holidays are over.
