Hi to my Exercise buddies

I was writing to our friend Dottie today and she asked me a question about What do I want to accomplish physically? One of my answers to her was working on improving my shoulders for looks and longevity.

How do you feel about yourself regarding your fitness level prior to working out and after accomplishing one of your fitness goals?

I would say that feeling and looking good are all part of the total package which helps us live a longer happier life.

I always feel energized when I am able to do something physically that I never thought I could do before. I think you are right, Rise - physical activity helps you stay young both in spirit and physically.

Whether it is before or after my workouts (which one?) or after my workouts, I feel like I have attained my fitness goal which is feeling better. I am just in the habit of going to the gym. If I miss once in awhile, it is no big deal. I find something to do that I know will burn calories. Mow the yard, wash the vehicles, clean the house (any or all of those) and then I am raring to go the next morning. This morning, for example, before I went to work out, I rode four miles on my bike. After dinner tonight, I went with the wife and rode another three miles. There is always something to do, even if it is raining. I have to face it, I am addicted to exercise.
There are not too many things in life worth working my butt off for, but my health is one of them

Rise'

I love working out. It makes me feel so much stronger and I have more energy. I am not yet to the point where I am seeing the physical improvements to my body, but I know that everyday I workout my body is getting stronger and healthier.

I don't feel as good on the days that I don't exercise. I feel almost sluggish and tired. I try to workout at least 5-6 days a week.

I am proud of my accomplishments so far. After 4 years of not being to really exercise, I feel that I am moving ahead, but realize that I have a lot of work yet to do. I enjoy the challenge. Working out is like mental therapy for me too. It is my "me" time and I enjoy it.

Not being able to workout for 4 years was really hard on me mentally as well as physically. I am so thankful that my new lungs like to work out with me!! :-)

God Bless!

Hi guys, Risa...you are right, exercise, choosing to move empowers you from the inside out. It strengthens your body but it also strengthens our wellbeing, how we feel about ourselves, gives us a sense of accomplishment-that can produce "internal muscles" :-)

When we choose to empower ourselves we feel better , feel strenghtened...think about it...on the days when you are tired yet you decide for yourself you are still going to DO SOMETHING, you always feel better after. Thats amazing. that is a gift. I am proud of all of you for giving that gift to yourself...whe you believe, others will follow :-)

Your brightest light does not come from the sky or a lamp..it comes from inside you when you feel proud of yourself and feel empowered...

Keep moving people..its what life is all about, You are all HERO's
