At the present time, although there is some gym equipment at my brother's home in the basement, I am looking into upgrading part of it. We have a bench with a rack on the back half for barbell so that we can do squats, but I truly hate the bench that is on it because it is too narrow for a big guy like me. I also would like to have the ability to use a Smith machine, as I do not always have my brother around to work out with. My prayers may have been answered, depending on whether the ceiling in my brother's basement is high enough. Most fitness equipment now days is eighty-four inches tall (seven feet). The other thing is that the said equipment is reasonable, which it should be. The equipment I am trying to get is a Smith machine owned by the guy who owns the shop. It has a pec-deck and lat attachment with it that includes a two hundred pound stack of weights to go with it. I told my brother that if it would make it so that we could both work out together, I would buy it, but that if he was not going to participate with me, there would be no sense in me buying a piece of equipment to let it draw dust and dirty or clean clothing.
