Hi , I am Balu from India, i have undergone Kidney Transplantation on 16 - OCT -2010, as of now i am pretty good for my routine and office work. Now a days I am gaining weight , i joined in FITNESS Center and started doing Aerobics.(they teach Dancing & Abdominal Exercises (Crunch) ,Yoga..ect). My Question is : 1. Can i do all of the these exercises. 2. Is any chance for side effects or injure to my new Kidney. please suggest... Balu |

I would not do ANY abdominal exercise for awhile. Consult with your tx center about exercise, but I would say that probably the safest and most effective way to challenge your weight gain is with a treadmill. Again, consult your tx center.

Hi Balu, welcome. I am Tisha I've had my new kidney 8 months now and only recently did I begin aerobics and abdominal exercises. Even so I felt a little discomdort doing abdominals so I will hod off You only being 2 months I think its a little too soon. I agree check with your doctors first. Best wishes.
Come celebrate with me that every day something has tried to kill me and failed. |

Hi Tisha,Gregg Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestions. I stopped doing aerobics as per my doctors suggestion , because i observed in my yesterday's blood test report my creatinine level got increased. Thanks, Balu |
