Most of you who have been around here for a while know I love and am obsessed with running...It took a break when I started having health issues but I think I am getting it back now that health is stable. For lack of a better comparison, I look at running like a drug addict looks to their next hit. It makes me feel good and relaxes me so I am happy to have it back even if not fully where I was before.

Hi, Terri:

Your experience is really a good inspiration to me. During the past 6-7 years, I did not have enough exercises due to the busy school and work schedule. Recently I found out that I have a moon face and big belly. So, a few month ago, I started jogging and running. Hopefully I will get a good result at the end of this year.

Best wishes,

Terri:

I am so glad that you are back to doing what you love. It won't take you long to get back to where you were. Knowing you - you'll be there in a couple of week! :-)

God Bless!

Thanks....I am no where near where I was before but still happy to be back. I never thought something would happen to me to stop me from running. I think even as a transplant recipient I still took things for granted before.

Terri, I am the same way with walking/running and my weight lifting. Yes, it is an addiction. It is even more of an addiction when it helps you to get back into shape and you feel so darn good. I have not been so light in twenty or twenty-five years.

I am not a runner yet. I just started walking a mile and working my way to jogging. I would love to run and feel healthy again.

Terri, I am so glad to hear that you can begin running more like you used to do. I would love to start running once I am strong enough. I remember how much I loved to run in gym in high school and all the walking I did at the time when I was still healthy. I look up to all who have the energy and dedication for running. May there be many paths and trails to await your swiftly dancing feet to give you more joy. Best of wishes.

Good luck to you all. I know personally how determined you must be. Before you know it, you will be running like the wind.

Hey guys! Its no question that its an addiction!
Lol
I am 3 months post transplant and try my best to go MINIMUM twice a week for a run. I'd go more but I'm deff lazy cuz my body can easily take it now.

I think cardio in general is SO important post transplant bc it seems so easy to fall into depression I notice. But you go out for that run or anything to make your heart beat and sweat and your MIND is back to normal. LOVE IT.

Hi Mashka

You are so right! Get that mind running and body will follow. Have you ever had a running dream and when you wake up, you really felt that you were running?
