I just do lat pulldowns, both single arm and close grip with both arms. It has gotten much easier, now that I am used to the movement. I had a problem when I first started doing these, because I could not really feel them. I guess this was because the back muscles are some of the strongest in your body. I could probably use more weight on the one where you use both hands, but the machines at the gym don't go up that high. I can go about another 10 pounds or so, and that is it.
Just do what the directions tell you. Take two tylenol and keep away from children

Sounds like you are pulling down a good amount of weight. WOW!
I have a lat machine in my home and I use it for many things besides back exercises.

Not really. With the close grip bar, the most you can do (because it is on 1 pulley is 80#. I will let you know when I can do 80# on the single arm pulldowns. Do you use your lat machine to hang up your clean clothes?? LOL!!

LOL

You are such a riot and I needed that laugh right now Thank you!

NO, I do not hang my clothes but you must be psychic because i also hang the pilates resistance bands attached to the top of the lat machine.. I lay on my back and do pilates type exercises with the resistance bands.
