Hi Kate, Don't get flustered. Many digital cameras take pictures at a higher format than is normally used for posting pictures on the web. This makes the pictures extremely large when you post them. I believe I saw in an earlier thread where you indicated you were kind of new to the internet and maybe even using your computer. Don't worry, you'll pick this stuff up pretty quickly. I have taken the liberty of cropping the pics and resizing them for you. I'm sorry I haven't welcomed you to the site before -- been kind of busy in my neck of the woods. If you need any help, let me know. I have sent a private message to your email. Let me know if I can be of any assistance. Hope you have a great day!

CD,I got you message today, I'll talk to You soon. thank you so much!!!! RISA, I would still be so lost if I hadn't found all of y'all. I told Kristin today, if she has any hesitation just come register&start reading. No pressure,if she has timeto come she won't want to leave.till she gets a headache from too much reading in one sitting.HA!! She assured me she would have already, only no time.We went to Baton Rouge today, it was so good to just talk. we havn't had a lot of time lately, that we weren't busy. I first met her when she was 15. Awhile later, I told Jeremy you need to get ready to marry Kristin, because someday she is going to make me some beautiful grandchildren. He was all bashfull for awhile, not to mention they were in school. They made two.A Girl,Logan.A boy,Gabriel. They were soul mates! I love her very much, watching her handle bussiness through all this, amazes me. I chose purple in honor of the orchids. they are wonderful Lady DI!!!! LUV Y'ALL BUNCHES, Kate} |

Hi Kate, I've been reading through the tributes to Joe and Sarah, and have been so touched by all of your stories. The pictures of your son are wonderful. I am looking forward to learning more about Jeremy whenever you feel like sharing with us. I know that it has only been a few short months since you lost your special son, so please don't feel any pressure to write anything before you are ready. I am so impressed by how strong you are. You may not feel very strong, but just being able to express your emotions and reach out to others at this point is inspiring. Like Kristen said, it's great that you have such a loving daughter-in-law, and that you have two adorable grandchildren to help make your days just a little brighter. Take care of yourself. Love, Deb

Hey Deb, I have been at Kristin's a couple of days, & didn't have time to get online. I'm 52,& it is all I can do to keep up with Gabriel, or "baby tazz" as I like to referr to him in his absence.Logan, will be 10 in November is a big help. She has come a long way also, the first time I saw her after Jeremy's funeral, she was shutting down! I could see the sparkle in her eyes was gone, same as Kristin. Kristin told me a few days later, "I'm worried about Logan, she won't talk, she hasn't cried, when I ask her what she wants to do she says nothing."She went to the door & had to make Logan get out of the car. Our back door leads to my room to the right, the rest of the house to the left, she comes in but never came to my room, Kristin tells me look, I got up to see Logan trying to put herself in a corner, that is my door frame(2in.space!) saying I can't. I say that's ok mama, I'll come to get my love she doesn't want to come in Grammy's messy room. When I saw her face I thought, "catatonic" or how ever it's spelled. When I hugged her she was limp. Kristin asked her why she won't come in grammy's room? I can't. That is all she said that day. Kristin took her to mental health the next day,at first both of them went twice a week for counseling. Now they go every other week. After Logan's 1st visit, she told Kristin she couldn't start crying or she was afraid she'd never stop. They cried all the way home,it's been uphill from there. That is the same time I walked to this computer to find help for me.I typed in "grieving the death of adult child." Eleven pages of sites came up, the 4th one was "compasionate Friends" I read in there, it helped, then I see TRIO,& Then TransplantBuddies. I read some of the blogs,& I knew I was home.I was still afraid to blog, cause I know absolutely nothing about computing,& I see Heather blogged "lots of new members, introduce yourselves. I say something like," I'm Jeremy's mom. I love him & miss him, I found Y'all& thought "my people!" Shortly after that I was reading more blogs. DAP'S as a matter of fact,tee-hee. Oh Yes, I posted my 1st blog about Jeremy in his blog. He welcomed me to the site, & it's been uphill from there. Once I read in one of my many self-help books, "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger." I always say, " I hate being a strong woman, on a good day."I never thought GOD would take one of my baby's, because he doesn't put anything on us we can't handle." I had another "think" comming! I could have rolled over & died, then I saw Logan's face, the sparkle in her eyes gone! She told me later, the reason she couldn't come in my room that day was because I was Jeremy's mama, & if she saw me, she was afraid she would start crying & never stop. Joe, & Jeremy were born the same year, Sarah was 16. I am so sorry to Janet & Kristen, that they didn't get as much time as I did. At the same time I know, it's not in my control. One of the first things that help us to heal, is knowing we are not alone. Someone out there is fighting a bigger battle than We do. Most of y'all have faced death and fight daily. That is being strong to me, Jeremy,&the rest of the donors in my Family. OK, I've made another short story long! thank You Deb, I will write more about Jeremy soon. I haven't yet, not because it's too soon. I don't know how to do stuff on this thing yet, but I'm learning slowly. To me, when I write about him, it gets the bad stuff out of me. I will see Y'all later, These people want me to do stuff!HA! Love, Kate/Jeremy's mom |

Hi Kate, I know what you mean about running around after little ones. I'm almost 51, and, although I don't have human kids, our two dogs have been wearing me out lately, especially since I'm hobbling around on a bad foot. I think you are doing great with your computer skills. I'm still learning how to do things on my laptop, and I've had it almost one year! I also wanted to say that we all experience moments when we ask why things happen the way they do. Certain losses are just so unfair. I'm glad that you found this site, as talking to others who understand just how meaningful your son's gifts are will, I hope, help to ease your pain on those down days. We love you, Kate. Deb

Deb, Thank You so much, I believe the same. we all have moments or long times that make us say, huh? Then the bargining begins. I went through most of bargining at the hospital. When I left it was over. Kristin let me borrow this book, "Grieving The Loss Of Someone We Love" byDR.Raymond Mitsch,&DR.Lynn Brookside. It helped so much. Some things We were doing right already but it really taught me not to "what if?" That only gets in the way of our grieving process. Then i found this site and read it was to bring us all together, I thought that is a great idea! I started reading & knowing I wasn't alone. What kind of dogs do Y'all have? I've had a lab, to a picapoo, before. Now only a couple of cats. The grand children, too.HA! See You later Deb,I love all of Y'all!!!!!! Love, Kate/Jeremy's mom |
