I would like to share a very special card that I received from my Father that was delivered at my Birthday party for my local friends and family.
When he announced he was going to read a special card to me, I immediately went over to stand and listen while he read this out loud.
There were tears in the crowd.
"To all those present, we would like to say, we received a beautiful, special gift, 50 years ago today.
There have been ups and there have been downs
But, through it all, Rise's spirits still abounds.
We all dream of making the world a better place, But most of us find, that these dreams we only chase,
What Rise' has done all on her own, with a lap top, the internet and just a phone.
She helps so many, who have no place to go, Many are hopeless, but Rise' says that "should not be so."
She created "Transplant Buddies which is her website. People know that here, they can get the information they need to fight.
We'll say it again and we say it loud, that you Rise' really make us proud.
And for who you are, and all that you do, we all want you to know that We Love You!.
You truly make the world a better place, Thank you for being who you are with all our love, Mom and Dad "

Hey Rise',
I've just been reading your blog, and your personal email explaining how you got started with this. You may have received new lungs, but it is clear that you have a huge heart, and you have created such an incredible support for those of us in the Transplant Community. I just wanted to say publicly how impressed I am. It must have been quite a party for your family, to be able to celebrate YOU.

WOW. What a great Gift from your Dad Risa-his pride is very well suited.
Way to represent, xo I also am very proud of you-I too have gotten to watch you grow and blossom and spread those beautiful strong "wings' of yours.
