A wonderful technique in the book "The Promise of Energy Psychology" by David Feinstein PhD, Donna Eden and Gary Craig, is the Triple Warmer Spleen Hug.

One hand rests on the upper part of the outside of your elbow (triple warmer meridian points) and your other hand rests on the opposite side of your ribs (spleen meridian points). Your hands should comfortably rest when you are folding your arms. Triple warmer calms the body down from stress, whether physical or emotional. It is important to try and take in slow deep breaths throughout these techniques. I hope this helps you as much as it helps me.

Sedating Triple Warmer meridian by using acupressure will help to calm your body. This technique is good to practice either lying down or sitting up in the evening or whenever you feel the need to de-stress. If you have any pain in your body, hold the points on the side of your body where you feel pain. For women, it is wonderful to reduce painful periods. TW helps to keep my allergies in their place. For those of us with anxiety, fears or worries, TW to the rescue.

In the pictures shown here, I am holding triple warmer points above my elbow in line with the pinky finger and under my knee in line with my pinky toe. I hold these two points for 3 minutes on the left side and then I repeat this sequence for the right side of the body. In the second picture, I use one foot to hold points right above the pinky toe on my other foot. I also hold the points on my hand above my baby finger at the same time (this is also used for the Fear Tap). Then I repeat this sequence for the other side of the body. Please hold these points for two minutes. Enjoy!

I love the fear tap. It is really the only one that I have perfected and use VERY often. I really believe in energy medicine and look forward to learning it ALL.

Risa,
You are gonna love this!! Remember me telling you about the corporate psychologist that works for my company? He's the one who is writing his own book on the usefulness of energy and the principles of energy as a healing source. Well, he has been in constant contact with me since I told him about the donor transplant process I was going through and also that I'm reading the book you sent me, Energy Medicine. Well, he has asked me to do two corporate workshops with him and present what I have learned to my peers and work with them in a general setting! He also wants me to reach out to my colleagues and tell them the story of what went on with this transplant stuff over here. The whole enchilada. He says that I have the capacity to force people to really look at their lives and who they really think they are with my own experiences. He is asking me to really open up and share the whole ordeal. This is soooooo exciting! He has been coaching our company through energy exercises since I can long remember but I have always been on the receiving end, not the giving end. What do you think of this? I spoke with him at great length a few times now about the Energy Medicine book, about you, transplant buddies, my dad, etc. He loves the whole life experience and says I can be of great help to others in our company if I will agree to do this. YIKES!! This is a whole new ball of wax for me. What do you think?

Sounds like a big compliment to me. What does he want you to teach? Does he want you to share your experience? How many people will you be speaking to?

That is great Amanda that you like the fear tap. Do you find the area between your pinky and finger feels sore when you are tapping the fear tap? I use to feel a soreness there that is why I am asking. That is the triple warmer meridian. TW starts at the tip of the ring finger.

In the book there is so much to learn and do not expect yourself to absorb all of it at once. I read it over and over very often to keep myself refreshed.

I love working on the chakras in the evening before bedtime. I can feel when an area breaks up and I can see the difference in the way the crystal that I hold moves. If it is not a smooth circular motion, than I spend more time clearing the area by spinning the area in different directions from left to right.

Energy is just so amazing. I just wish I took this all seriously when I got the book years ago. For anyone to use Energy medicine effectively in an emergency setting, one needs to know it all. When I had low bp or low blood glucose, I knew what to do instinctively or shall I say quickly because I knew what would work for me.

I am hoping my husband learns just as much as I have. Keep with it.

Does your husband practice Energy Medicine? I bet it is fun to share something so wonderful.

When I had my transplant, I told him if I was on the respirator a bit too long, he should hold my lung points. When he held them for the first time, I opened my eyes and everyone could not believe what happened. Believe it or not, he is learning because I am always talking about what I am doing when I practice and I quiz him too.

If there was something that he really could do for me it would be to learn as much as I have learned. He says he wants to learn but with work and his spare time, it is hard for him to fit in the reading. If you ask me, if someone really wants to learn, they will make the time.

You just never know how much you can help someone and if you do not understand or learn enough it would be difficult to open up a book in a pinch and try and figure things out.

For example if someone is having a seizure, you can hold the central and governing points (the hook up) and that will help calm the person down. There is another hookup technique in one of Donna Eden's other books.

There is just so much that one can do to help someone. I think the problem with most people is that they do not believe that something so simple can help.

All I can say is when I was very sick and after I held my points, everyone's wanted to understand what I was doing and some would ask me to show them. I would go from pale to a nice color in a matter of minutes.

I believe the sicker the person is, the faster they will see the results.

I am going to pray that my husband learns. In the meantime, I tell him to copy what I am doing and he usually does.

Thanks for asking

Risa,
He doesn't necessarily want me to teach anything regarding the Energy Medicine because that is something I am too new with and I cannot rise up to that occasion yet. I am too green at this. He would like me to be an example and help go over postures, pressure points, meridians, and exercises. Kind of like an Assistant to the work he already does with us at the company. He said it will be a good example to the others when they see one of their own able to do things he has been teaching but employ the techniques to an aspect of their life that they found particularly difficult. Hence, sharing the transplant situation with my peers. It is not something I would normally do except with those that I was very close to. Dino says that I need to jump outside my comfort zone and be vulnerable in order to further the healing process and allow energy to work at peak performance. My ability to release my pain and feelings about this transplant experience will allow others to release their pent up problems as well. He says that this will breed comradery and release all of our energy for others to share and work off of. It is a big compliment to you, absolutely. Without you, I would not have had the comfort and catharsis that I needed when I needed it the most. You also introduced me to ways to help me calm my body and mind. I will always be indebted to you for that. I speak of you often and people respond to what I say about you. One of these days, we really need to meet up. We are too close in distance to not do that. By the way, I hope that your husband will latch onto what you believe in and practice more too. I find that men seem to be threatened a bit by the Energy Medicine. I think it makes them face things they naturally avoid. I have watched my own husband and his reactions to it. I have to prove everything I say about it before he believes in it. He is a tough nut to crack. You are right about one thing though......if someone really wants to learn about something, they will make the time and go to the God's green Earth to find the answers. I know I did.

I am so happy that you learned a lot from the Book Energy Medicine. It was meant to be and especially for everything that is happening now in your life. I went out to dinner and actually spent the entire day with a good friend. I was talking about all the people on transplantbuddies and how I wish I could have some of the people as friends who I can actually meet. I mentioned that I hope to meet you for lunch one day.

Make sure to Mention Donna Eden's book Energy medicine at the talk you are going to give. I would make up a few pages to hand out. People will forget when you show them things but if they can go home and practice, that would be a great thing to have.

I love the neurovascular holding points for stress and the various emotions that we all have.

Today I went to see the movie "Once" and afterward, I demonstrated meridian tracing and the daily routine. I was also trying to clear my drug headache that I had but found out it was from the loud theatre speakers. I had to go and complain that the speakers were so loud.

Got to go and relax after a long DAY.

Much love to you

I would like to Correct the Triple warmer points that I describe in the photo for 1st holding points.

I hold my fingers and rest my entire hand below my knee and concentrate in line with my second toe. I feel it works well when you hold the entire area with your hand relaxed. Try and keep your hand relaxed and wait until you feel and equal pulse beating in sync with both hands. They you know you are hooked up:-)
