Let us Read Chapter 1 in "Energy Medicine" by Donna Eden and David Feinstein PhD. and discuss what we learn. Feel free to share your own personal experiences what you have observed about Feeling Energy. Some people can see Energy too. I have felt energy on many levels. Sometimes you have that feeling that you know something that you cannot see or feel. You just know. Feel free to express whatever it is that relates to what you learn. It can be from your childhood to present day experiences.

I finished chapter one in the Energy Medicine book. It is a great introduction to the body's energy. It really gives you a yearning to learn more about energy medicine and how it can help your body and mind feel better.

Just to let you all know where I stand. I have BO (Bronchiolitis Obliterans) and I have not yet gone for a transplant evaluation. We are seeing my Pulm. Aug. 8th to discuss that option. Anyways..I have a lot of SOB and very low lung function. I have a lot of anxiety and stress from not being able to breathe. Risa introduced me the Energy Medicine to help my body stay calm and less stressed. Helping me to prepare for transplant and recover from transplant if that is in my future. I have been practicing several things with great success.

I do these things daily: Lung sedating points, Sedating triple warmer meridian, fear tap, and just recently the neurovascular holding points. What I have noticed is that I am calmer and I sleep better. I have noticed that I am not as depressed as I was even 2 weeks ago. I am still learning and need to practice and read more, but I am finding energy medicine a great way to keep my body's energies in balance and a way to keep my anxiety level down.

Thanks for your help Risa!

God Bless!

Dear Karen

I am so happy that you found something to help you. Glad to hear you are reading the book. I just say go at your own pace and if you have any questions simply write them on this forum. I hope to have more people participating. If not, it can be just the two of us chatting away.

I hope you try Separating heaven and Earth and Heaving Rushing in. These are great energizers for the body and great for opening up the lungs. Do them as often as you feel it is necessary.

There is never a place where you go where you cannot find something to tap or open up your soul too. For example, if I was out to dinner with friends or family and felt slightly stressed for whatever reason it was, I would hold points on my hands. One night, I held my K-27 points below my collar bone(part of the three thumps). Usually I tap them but this night, I held them for five minutes or more. I felt so relaxed and centered. Nobody really knows what you are doing if you are not comfortable sharing.

When I was at a doctors appointment years ago when I was not feeling well, I would draw figure Eights on my leg. It is very hypnotic and relaxing. I figured this out instinctively before reading the book. I actually had an acupuncturist who worked on me using Touch for health methods (In Donna's Edens Book) he did not tell me his secret. He mentioned figure eights and when I needed this, my body knew what to do. He told me to envision seeing figure eights.

I feel when you explore energy you are creating an energy what is right for you at that moment. The more you practice the more aware you become. If you experience an off day, you will be able to bring yourself to a point of great improvement of whatever it is that is bothering you emotionally or physically. Just like if you want to de-stress and you do not know what it is that is bothering you, when you balance your energy, you will feel so much better.

I just love holding the sedating and strengthening points (touch for health). I even tap them at times. I like tapping my Spleen points on my feet. I tap with both feet Spleen3 and clap my hands with heart8 that strengthens spleen. You can do them both at the same time and save time and plus feel stronger.

I am so glad that you are receiving some relief. Are you going to teach your husband?

Risa:

I love it that you were out with friends and you were holding our K27 points. I think I told you that I was holding my lung sedating points and doing the fear tap while waiting for the doctor the other day. My anxiety goes up tremendously when I am out and about by myself. It really calmed me down. I will start working on the Heavens rush in and separating Heaven and earth. I know it just takes time to learn, but I am excited to learn more.

Yes! I am going to teach my husband. He was so funny the other night. He had a headache and I did the tension headache exercise on him. He was amazed. He watches me do some of the exercises and I think he is intrigued. His job is very stressful. I will be excited to teach him as I learn more. I think it will really help him. Oh yeah - on the way to my tests on Thursday I was teaching him the fear tap because he complains about his social anxiety. He was practicing it when I came out of my test. I was impressed he was doing it on his own.

Thanks again for your help! Here's to less stress, happy and healthy bodies!!

God Bless!

WOW! Thank you for sharing Karen. When I was many days out of my transplant and not off the ventilator, I told my husband to hold the lung points in case I would be on there longer than expected. Second transplants are much more difficult. I remember feeling his fingers and my eyes opened up for the first time.

Maybe it was my memory and love for the points that helped me and I felt him trying to save me or perhaps the points brought me up and out of the fog I was in.

Risa:

I have something exciting to share with you and the group. When I awoke this morning I was not feeling very good. I was a little nauseated and I just felt very uncomfortable and as if I wasn't breathing very well. I did the hook up before even sitting up. Then I started massaging the K 27 points. I got up and did the entire Daily energy routine. I was amazed at how much better I felt. Here's the real kicker. I have this insane need to vacuum my kitchen floor every morning because it is white and we have a black dog that sheds terribly. For weeks now I have not been able to vacuum (I use a little lite weight stick vac). Vacuuming to me is like marching to you. It is just one of those things that keeps me fighting. It gives me some exercise and I feel as if I have accomplished something if I can do it. Of course it takes me 20 minutes to do a 5 minute job, but who cares I could do it. Well, for the last few weeks I have not been able to do it. I was too worn out and maybe to defeated to even try. My husband has been doing it. Today - after doing the daily energy workout I did it!!! I even did it without having to stop every couple of minutes to breathe. I did have to stop a few times to rest, but I did it!! I was so excited. I truly believe that the Energy Medicine not only helps your body but your mind as well.

Your story about having your husband hold your lung points is so beautiful. I can't imagine what he felt when he saw your eyes open. I am going to teach my husband those points because there are many times when I get panicky and can't get my breath. He stands there helpless. This will give him something positive to do to help me catch my breath and calm me down.

This stuff is great! Thanks so much!

God Bless!

Whenever I read your posts karen, you bring tears to my eyes. I am so happy for you that you are now able to find a way to help yourself feel better. Can you imagine how much better you will feel if you keep on practicing?

I would try and practice the routine at least twice daily or when you feel that tired feeling and you know you do not need sleep.

The cross crawl is important. If my husband is not home, I go to a corner on a wall and lightly let the corner touch away from my spine and practice the spinal flush.
I am SO PROUD and HAPPY 4 U

I am sure your husband felt really good seeing you move around like that too.

Edited to add:
I would work on your small intestine meridians by tracing if you can and holding their points. If you can practice some neurolympthatics for small intestine and large intestine that would be good for you. I would also hold the small intestine and large intestine Sedating and strengthening points.

I think it is important to look at the meridians and the location that the sedating and strengthening points would be located. If you place your entire hand close to the approximate point, you are covering the point if you are not certain about the location. You can still feel your pulses sync up if you lightly place your hand around the area.

The more you look at the pathway of the meridian the easier it will be for you to remember the strengthening and sedating points. That has been my experience.

You mention practicing the daily routine but I have a feeling if you spend more time on tapping the spleen points, you will feel a big relief. The three thumps are wonderful to practice on the hour if you can remember. Let me know how this works out.

Well after reading your post, I decided it was time to vacuum and clean. I was thinking about you while I vacuumed. If you can alternate your hands while touching the vacuum handle, then you are doing a similar cross crawl fashion to the daily routine. It is hard to think about when you see some dust or hair you need to vacuum. lol

You have inspired me to clean and keep this house tidy. My darling husband has to help because I have a three bedroom home.

Forgot to add: I always wear a dusk mask when I vacuum and use a wet cloth for dusting. I also wear gloves:-)

Risa:

At least I am good for something?!?! Hee! Hee! I do have a tendency to overdo the "clean" thing. I have always been that way. Must be my type A personality. Actually, it comes from an over obsessive mother and grandmother over a clean house. I used to watch my grandmother clean her kitchen floor on her hands and knees and then use a dinner knife to get dirt out of the grout. It was crazy. My mom was not that bad, but I guess it is in my genes.

Aren't we lucky that our husbands are willing to help us clean!!! Before I was sick, Jerry didn't do any cleaning, but now we have to have a cleaning lady and he still does a lot around the house. He has been so good to me and has helped so much. He never complains - except for bed change day which I insist on every Saturday. That's the only time I hear him groan, but he still does it. He doesn't understand why we change sheets once a week. I told him that's what my mom did and that's what I do. I didn't know any different. Besides, when you don't feel well there is nothing better than to get into a fresh clean bed!!!

I always wore gloves when I cleaned, but I never had the need to wear a mask, but now that I have lung disease I wonder if all those chemicals that breathed in had anything to do with it. I will never know. If I do get a transplant, I will ALWAYS wear a mask while cleaning. It's hard for me to wear a mask right now because I feel as if I can't get any fresh clean air in. Then of course I get panicky and can't breathe. It's a bummer because when Sammy is sick I really need to wear a mask. I have tried all kinds and can't find one that works for me.

Sorry to make you work so hard - Hee! Hee! Maybe I should tell your hubby sorry - cause now he has to help?!?! Hee! Hee! Happy cleaning! it does feel good to have a clean house. Of course in my case with a 3yr. old it stays clean for maybe 2 minutes.

Oh - I did the 3 thumps during dinner tonight and I was able to finish all my dinner and I don't feel that shaky feeling that I usually feel after eating. Very exciting!! Jerry was excited too. I helped with Sammy's bath and we all laughed and had a good time. It has been a good day and it all started with Energy medicine and emails from you!! A great way to start a day!

Thanks again!!

God Bless!

Risa:

I still do the Daily Energy routine every day. I also hold my lung points and triple warmer. It is just part of my day. If I am anxious for some reason I will hold my lung points a different times during the day. I also, found myself holding my heart points during my dry run because my heart would race so badly. It would always bring my heart rate down.

I don't feel complete for the day if I don't do my Energy Medicine. Thank you again for teaching it to me!!

God Bless!

For those who have no idea what Energy Medicine is, check out this link for a broad review of some of the areas that are discussed in the book.
http://www.energymed.org/hbank/handouts/principles_ener_med.htm

You can buy energy medicine books and videos at http://innersource.net

For those who pray or send positive thoughts for others, please keep this in mind for me. My husband has a talent with energy medicine and I would love for him to take an interest and watch my energy medicine videos and read my energy medicine books. He can see energy and he creates his own energy techniques that work. We have tested his energy skills using the general indicator test as well as the spleen and a few other tests we have learned. He has what it takes. Thank you, Rise'

To all our Energy medicine buddies

I have moved this blog to our new topic "De-Stress Yourself" where others will be able to understand the importance of reducing stress in their lives.

In my opinion all Energy Medicine techniques and exercises are the ultimate stress reliever.

Rise:

I totally agree with you. I need to start doing the Daily Routine again. I stopped right after transplant because of all the pain in my chest area. I think I am ready to get started again. That's on my list of goals now that Sammy is back in school.

I truly believe that Energy Medicine helped me so much pre transplant. I am anxious to see how much it helps me improve post transplant

Keep me accountable - will you!! :-)
