Hello!
Here is some stuff that may be interesting to you.

One important thing about disease in general is to learn to accept it.
It is good to cry about that what you lost. It's like loosing a good friend - loosing your past life. And crying is very important.

But you / we are not dead yet!
And I know that there is still a lot in life that is worth to be experienced and lived. Even with a FEV1 of 1,**

The first thing is to open the eyes and to look into the face of reality and accept that what is (including the crying).

Lay or sit down. Make yourself as comfortable as possible.
You don't need to relax.
Because you start accepting that what is, including your beeing not relaxed.

OK?

Now close your eyes and simply feel.
What do you feel first?
Maybe you feel your short breath.
Then you can do this by (loud) saying to yourself:
"Hello short breath. I feel you. (I don't like you but) You are a part of me now." Simply say that to yourself.
And feel what happens in your body, your mind.
Maybe you feel, while you say this to yourself, that your breath does relax a bit.
Maybe another sensation rises and you can talk to that.
"Hello tingling in the arms, I feel you too - you are a part of me too."
You are now becoming aware of the ennergies within you.
You become more and more confident with that what is within you.

Also feelings and emotions can rise.
"Fear I feel you, you are a part of me. Do with me now what you want. I surrender to you."
And then you let your fear do with you what your fear wants to do.
This surrendering "to that what is" is the most effective sentence.

This way we can learn that nothing what happens within our mind can do us harm or hurt us.
What is painful and hurts is only when we try to fight and deny a certain energy.
If you accept it it can flow freely and often it is not necessary anymore and vanishes.
Or it is not as strong as you accepted it to be and you can cope with it in a good way.

A short breath / a disease often is like a child wanting your attention. As long as you try to deny it it becomes stronger and stronger.
When you start looking at it and trustfully accepting and even surrender to it by saying "Hello ***** you are a part of me. Do with me what you want." it doesn't have to "scream" that "loud" at you anymore - your dis-ease or even your relationship to your dis-ease (english is a nice language! :-) ) - can heal.

I have practiced this way of "inner experiences" since 2002 - when I meet Klaus Lange who works with this since more than 35 years. He has been a companion for thousands of people on their inner experiences.
He gives workshops around germany and single sessions in his flat in Hamburg.

He wrote several wonderful books - unfortunately they are only in german language. But he has a german/english homepage: www.klaus-lange-hamburg.de

Thank you so much Frank for sharing your insights.

I remember thinking about this when I was waiting for my first transplant. I remember talking out loud and said, "the momma loves the baby and the baby loves the momma"

I found this very soothing to hear this saying that I came up with. I do remember feeling that the panic was like the screaming child that needed attention.

With my second tx, I had the energy medicine at my fingertips and did not need to think too much. I prayed at times while holding points. I must have held my lung points about ten times per day.

It also helped me to reduce my oxygen intake from 4 liters to 1.5 I think I had gradually turned up the o2 when I thought I needed more and became dependent and then when I was able to reduce the 02 my body no longer needed so much.

Keep sharing. You are a wonderful Teacher:-)
