You might have thought about one of these questions a few times in your life,
"I just don't feel like myself today" or, "I feel so tired and I have no clue as to what is happening with my health".

What goes through your mind when you do not feel well?

What steps do you take in order to detect clues? Do you call your doctor immediately?

Do you ask yourself a series of questions to try and determine what is not right.

Do you run by the day before and think you could have eaten something that was not fresh or contaminated?

When your doctors cannot find anything wrong, what do you do?

Do you start to think that your physical problem has manifested from your mind?

Many of us have joined our website to try and find what others are experiencing.

I am Curious to the steps that you all take to determine your health challenge.

If you find yourself able to answer one of the questions above, please share.
Thank you

On any day that I wake up and do not feel rested, I go through a series of questions (self inquiry) to determine why I do not feel my best. If I am totally clueless, I will ask for a blood test and possible see my doctor.

!. What time did I fall asleep?
2. Did I eat too many Carbs the night before?
3. Was I involved in any stressful thinking/worrying?
4. Did I try a new food that I could have had a food sensitivity to?
5. The Last time I felt well, what did I do differently than a few days ago?
6. Have I been putting in the extra time for exercise?
7. when was my last blood test?
8. Since I check for PFT's and glucose on my own, this is usually a non issue.

If it is just one day, I try not to worry as I do check vitals daily, if it persists I contact my transplant team, if I have a fever (2+ degrees above normal) I contact my team. I got my flu shot within a week of their notice to get one (now about a month out).

Otherwise, I try to live each day as it comes . . .

Stay well

Rise', in response to your questions.

If I wake up not feeling well , I do review my last 24 hours.

Has there been anything I have done or eaten that might have contributed to how I am feeling. If I have a fever I contact the TxP clinic. Have I felt like this before and if so, what was the cause at that time.

I take a look at my symptoms to see which body systems seem to be involved. For example, maybe it is my digestive system where I might be experiencing nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal bloating etc. Or perhaps my neurological system where I might be experiencing headaches, dizziness, blurred vision etc.

I keep track of the changes so that I can remember to keep my facts straight, and in order.
I notice what seems to help and what doesn't.

I always take a look at both my bloodwork results, and also the side effects form my medications.

I don't call my Dr immediately unless there is a fever. I have not had any urgent issues such a heart attack or any other serious problem which any one should call a Dr. right away.

If I am not getting better within a week, or I am getting worse, and I am unsure what the problem is, then I will call my Dr.
