Hi everyone, I'm on here a lot but read more then post;)! I'm in the testing process for lung transplant ( constructive bronchiolitis) and the team thinks I should be added to the list by the end of next month.. Yay!!! But my question is about the incision. My doctors said it would be a double transplant so I would have the clamshell incision, how does that effect women and their breast! I've tried to wrap my head around this but can't seem to figure out how this works.

Thanks to everyone who posts on this website, it really helps to read all the different stories and to know there is a place that I can go and seek answers or advice.

Thanks, Annette

The incision is performed under the breast so when it is healed you will just have a line (scar) that goes one side to the other under the breast. It won't show with clothes.
