Hi Carol There should be some information on this website. Try our search link top left of pages. I am sure all will go well. The only difference with generic drugs are the fillers. If you are not allergic to corn for example, then I would not be concerned.

If I had my choice I would always choose the brand.

I was switched to Tacrolimus (Prograf) generic about 3 or 4 years ago, looks to me that the Tacrolimus level dropped maybe 0.2 at the time of the change. Since then my dosage was lowered to 1 and 0.5 mg daily, my Tacrolimus level is usually at the 1.8 to 2.0 mark. Obviously I didn't have any problems, I am 7++ yrs post Liver transplant.

I have been on the generic brand for many months. There was a slight change in my tacrolimus numbers (it was a little higher) but not enough that any change was made to my dosage. I currently am on the brand name as I found out that my insurance would charge as much for the generic as it does for the brand name. However, considering the time I was on the generic, I would feel safe enough to go back to the generic if I needed to such as if the generic became cheaper for the insurance plan I am on.
