My wife gave me a kidney and I was not alone. LOL!! j/k A kidney transplant was all I had, but that was enough. (I think??)

Husband had Kidney / Pancreas July 12, 2002 @ LDS Hospital, Utah (lovingly referred by us as Hotel LDS). We had only been married 3 months.
Just celebrated 8 years with our 4 beautiful children all born since that time.

Two transplants, kidney only:
first on 4th July 1983, Wellington New Zealand, lasted 26 years & 2 months.
second 12 days ago,
on 9th July 2010, Christchurch, New Zealand, is going to last at least 45 years!!
Two children with the first transplant.

I had a kidney only transplant on Dec. 14, 2009. My mom was my donor.

Kidney transplant, February 26th 2002 at The National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, Maryland. My wonderful brother Rob was my donor. My surgeon was Dr. Kirk (who is now at Emory U in Atlanta)
