Since last week I noticed that my blood pressure is high at 150/110 and heart beat at about 65, my blood pressure decreases to 125/80 when my heartbeat increases to above 80 beats per minute, anybody got any idea about my condition, I am only scheduled to meet my physician next week. I had normal blood pressure since my transplant, this condition has only started about 10 days ago. Anybody got any advice. |

Actually normal resting HR can be anywhere from 60-100 or almost 100. It depends on a lot of factors. |

the cause could range from a # things such as stress, diet, exercise level, etc or quite possible your organ starts to not work. Get checked. |

I am 74 and have been on BP meds for a while. After the kidney transplant, the docs put me on 10mg Amlodipine and 50mg Metoprolol and took me off Clonidine. The Metoprolol really lowers your BP and pulse rate so I adjusted the meds myself by measuring my BP 5x/day. I ended up with 10mg Amlodipine, 12.5mg Metoprolol and .03 Clonidine (which I told my docs I did - after the fact). They agreed it was reasonable. My BP which originally was about 150/95 is now about 130/74. If you check you will find your BP is highest in the morning and lowest in the late evening - mine varies between 110/64 and 135/75 during the day. |
