Author Message ivy Member Username: Norman1 Post Number: 61 Registered: 02-2012 Posted on Thursday, March 29, 2012 - 12:28 pm:    dropping hb on aza allopurinol combo-well 1 week into an increase in Allopurinol my hb has dropped yet again,i have been told if this is a ongoing trend then there maybe some more med tweeking as they suspect the hb is probably being effected by the aza. i was also told my MCH and MCV were raised at mcv 102 and mch 34 i know that a raised mcv can be indicative of macrocytic anemia but don't fully understand the numbers..i beleive it means i have big fat red blood cells? alfy Member Username: Alfy Post Number: 8 Registered: 03-2012 Posted on Thursday, March 29, 2012 - 01:41 pm:    My doctor also suspects that Allopurinol has negatively affected my blood count and worsened my anemia.
