Hi, where do you get pain from the transplanted kidney in case of kidney infection or rejection? I'm 1 year post transplant. I have recurrent kidney infection(not bladder). I have pain in front side and back side( just below rib cage) I used to get only flank pain from my old pkd kidneys due to kidney cyst infection and cyst pain. Both pkd kidneys were removed before transplant. thanks Bala

I wouldn't expect pain from the transplant itself. The nerve pathways to the organ do not reconnect. I have a very large stone in my transplant and I don't feel a thing. You need to look for other signs such as fever, general aches, and urinary clues. The pain you have could be from the incision or other issues.
