I just couldn't go to sleep tonight until I posted a great big
HAPPY 1 YEAR TRANSPLANT ANNIVERSARY!!!
to my angel sister Tawnya and her Daddy.
I am Sooo proud of you and so grateful that all is going so well for Dad!!
I hope you are planning a weekend of celebrations!!!! I love ya girl

I love you!! You are a remarkable woman and I am so blessed to have you in my life. Thank you for the shout out.
Hi, everyone. Yes, today is the one year anniversary that I donated 66% of my liver to my dad. He is doing SO good. He feels wonderful. He's dating but his favorite thing to do is to eat. Since he can no longer drink alcohol, he says his vice is food. We go to breakfast every Sunday and then to the bookstore. He is thriving. His color is back and even his skin has a softer look to it. All and all, everything's good.
I am all recovered, too and feeling great. I am going to celebrate this day with a nice hard work out at the gym. Tonight, we are all going out to dinner and tomorrow, my sister's and I, are going to the spa for massage's. Sunday, my dad and I will do our ritual of having breakfast together at his favorite Coco's.

I am a Live Liver donor.
I donated my right liver lobe to my father on 4-29-10.
USC University Hospital in California performed our surgery. So far, so good. We are both doing great. |
