http://www.dukehealth.org/Services/Transplants/Programs/Lung I received a double-lung transplant on 10-27-08, my first. I was only listed at Duke and my diagnosis was pulmonary fibrosis. I waited just 35 days on the list, and had a LAS of 43 at time of tx.

I had a living related double lobar lung transplant on 01/08/2003 due to IPF. Because of a high PRA level and waiting until I was "circling the drain" a living donor transplant was the only way to spare my life. Brother and sister donated each a lobe of lung and both were a perfect HLA match. This was my first transplant. |
