I had both my transplants at Fairview at the Transplant Center: http://www.fairview.org/ceii/Provider/ClinicDetails.asp?Provider=801133 My cousin gave me a kidney on October 3rd 2002, and I received a pancreas from a deceased donor on Feb 28th, 2008. I am still rejection free (knock on wood) even though both organs took a bit of a licking when I came down with CMV. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada so my labs are done here and I call in fairly regularly to my folks at the center. They are great and help to take good care of me. I visit once per year for follow ups or the occasional biopsy that I've had due to some problems. Cora

I also had my surgery at the University of Minnesota Med Ctr/Fairview. www.fairviewtransplant.org I am a donor -- non-directional -- Oct 2009 They do the most procedures a year of any other facility in the world. As a teaching institution, they often release studies and are known somewhat as pioneers in the kidney "world" as they have made major steps and improvements in kidney transplants for many years. I am extremely happy with the care I have received!!
